PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery such that a structure for cutting off a current is simplified according to the present invention.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 1 has a reverse plate 14 pressed by gas pressure in a battery case 2, as the inside reaches a high temperature to raise the gas pressure, to curve convexly toward an external terminal plate 12. Through the deformation, a load is transmitted to a current cutoff piece 20 through a load transmission part 11d. At this time, a thrust of the load transmission part 11d causes a brittle breakage part 31, forming a part of a periphery edge of the current cutoff piece 20, to break, and the current cutoff piece 20 is displaced to bent in a V shape through a bending part 30. Consequently, a secondary battery 1 is disabled to be used. Such constitution achieves simplification of a structure for cutting off a current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
