PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device reducing fluctuation of pixel density and having less luminance unevenness of display.SOLUTION: An image display device 100 includes: a light emission section 400 emitting modulation light La and Lb; and an optical scanning section 600 performing scanning with the modulation light La and Lb in a first direction and a second direction. The optical scanning section 600 performs the scanning with the modulation light La and Lb in one of a forward path and a return path in the first direction. Irradiation points La' and Lb' of the modulation light La and Lb are disposed side-by-side in a direction intersecting with the first direction on an image-formation surface. The scanning is performed with the modulation light La and Lb in the second direction for each two scanning lines LS extending in the first direction, and one of irradiation points La' and Lb' at given time is located at a position different from scanning loci Ta and Tb of the other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
