PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a good image with no impact on the recording timing.SOLUTION: Immediately before the shooting timing of interval shooting, a CPU17 executes motion detection processing for detection whether or not a device is moving with a predetermined size or more, based on the detection results from a gyro sensor 25, or face detection processing for detecting the face of a subject by analyzing an image captured from a CMOS12, and then sets the focusing (pan focus or multiple focus or face focus) or exposure (AE, face detection AE), based on the processing results (presence or absence of motion, presence or absence of a face).
