<p>The water-tight joint is for attachment to the bottom of outside doors. It is sufficiently flexible to allow for any unevenness in the ground and ensures a perfect fit by means of pressure. It consists of a rubber hollow tubular element (1) filled with air, which is attached by any appropriate means to the vertical edge (2) of a door (3). It is plugged at the upper end and communicates with a second tubular element (10) fastened to the bottom (11) of the door (3). When the door is closed, the first element (1) is pressed against the door frame (5), air thus being squeezed out, bringing about high pressure in both elements. This forces the second element to assume a convex shape, pressing against the ground and the bottom of the door and eliminating any gaps.</p> |
