<p>The customer movement analysing system is used in a supermarket etc to determine the number of customers within each area, the number of customers entering the are and the mean duration for which the customers stay in the area. The system employs a magnet (1) attached to each supermarket trolley, with a conductor loop (2) surrounding each access point to the area, so that a potential difference is indused in the conductor loop (2) upon the passage of of each trolley. The conductor loop (2) may employs a single insulated conductor wire positioned in a groove in the ground, or it may employ several conductors mounted in parallel or series and these conductors may be independent.</p> |
