The equipment allows observation of the printing on a travelling strip in a rotary printing machine. It has an electronic camera (6) for taking a series of pictures, and a hand-controlled flasher unit (7) synchronised with the pictures. The latter are recorded in a memory unit (10), and displayed by a reproducing device (11). A control device can also be included (8) for synchronising the flashes with the speed of operation of the printing machine, and there can be a set of lenses of adjustable focal length (9) in front of the camera.
