The bandsaw has an arm (3) pivoting (2) on the base (1). This holds the driven (6) and driving pulleys (4, 5) over which passes the bandsaw blade (7). It is constrained to move vertically by a guide (9, 10) each side of its active portion (11). The heat treated steel coil spring (12) is held in a vice (13, 14) on the base and a nozzle (15), directly above, sprays sodium chloride solution over it and the blade. Cutting progressed by electrolytic action, the blade not coming into contact with the metal and producing a fine finish.
