The invention concerns a method for producing thick layers of an organic or hybrid thermoelectric material. The method for producing a powder of a thermoelectric material from a solution of an organic or hybrid thermoelectric material according to the invention is characterised in that said organic or hybrid thermoelectric material is a material made from thiophenes, and in that it comprises the following steps: a) adding an acid to said solution of organic or hybrid thermoelectric material made from thiophenes, b) separating the precipitate obtained in a) and the solvent, c) washing the precipitate obtained in step b) with water, and d) drying the washed precipitate obtained in step c).
