1472772 Electronic musical instruments HAMMOND CORP 11 June 1974 [11 June 1973] 25842/74 Heading G5J In an electrical keyboard instrument a monostable multivibrator unit 10 is triggered to give a single output pulse when a keyer is operated by a key 11 independent of how many keys are already activated. The triggering voltage is developed across a sensing element 21 which may be a resistor (as shown), inductor or diode. The pulse duration is limited by the saturation times of the transistors 14, 16 and is characteristically 10 ms., within which period operation of a key produces no further pulse. Transistors may be NPN or, with appropriate polarity reversals, PNP type. The pulses may activate a separate rhythm voice generator (not shown).
