<p>A cable reel provides an electrical power extension via five metres of three core, two to ten amp. cable. The reel provides automatic wind-back and a tensioning arrangement using a helical spring as the energy source, which is operated by pressing two buttons. Both buttons are held by spiral springs (13) trapping the cable in its released position by causing lateral movement of two plates. Each plate (11) has a hole (12) through which the cable passes freely when they are aligned and is trapped when they are in their offset rest position. The two-part reel casing is made of plastics and includes a permanent magnet for attachment to steel surfaces.</p> |
