1529527 Thienopyridines PARCOR 19 Jan 1977 [22 Jan 1976] 02144/77 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R 1 = C 1-6 alkyl; R 2 = H, acyl; R 3 = H, C 1-6 alkyl; R 4 = H, acyl, alkoxycarbonyl, or phenyl or phenoxy optionally substituted by at least one halogen atom or CF 3 , OH, NO 2 , NH 2 , CN, COOH, alkoxycarbonyl or C 1-6 alkyl or alkoxy group; n = 0-15) and their acid addition salts are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula (R = C 1-4 alkyl) with HSCH 2 COOR 7 (R 7 = H, R 1 ) in R 1 OH and in presence of HCl, followed by cyclization of the resulting 3-alkoxycarbonyl-4- alkoxycarbonylmethythio - 1,2,5,6 - tetrahydropyridine and, optionally, acylation and/or salt formation. The above compounds inhibit blood platelet aggregation and possess anti-inflammatory and sedative activity. They may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical and veterinary preparations containing them in association with a carrier. |
