The microwave generator construction uses a magnetic material frequency source and electromagnet. The magnetic material is used to produce a high frequency output signal. This output signal varies over a range of frequencies as a function of the continuous input current supplying the electromagnet. After each input current variation, the current is reset to upper or lower valves. These valves being equal to the upper or lower valves of current which determine the higher or lower frequencies of the frequency range considered. The current is reset by modulating it by signals of always the same form. This ensures that the nominal value of current is reached at the same rate and in the same sense. After each input current variation the current is reset to a null value.
