The one piece plastic windscreen wiper for cars is made in an injection press. It is made in a normal manner, with fixings to the car body (1) and a hole (2) for the fixing pin. There is a projection (3) for the end of the return spring. The assembly has the usual main arm (4) and three hinge points (5-7) of laminated construction. From two of these hinge points (6, 7) are two sub-arms (8, 9) and there is a part to receive a small ball. There are, in addition, two tongues (11, 12) which keep one sub-arm (8) lateral relative to the main arm (4) still permitting hinging.
