<p>A remotely controlled switch is used to switch the mains supply to control lighting. The oscillator coils of a portable VHF transmitter act as an antenna to eliminate directional effects. The receiver is powered from the mains supply. Signals are transmitted from a modulated Colpitts oscillator circuit whose coils act as radiating elements. Signals are received by a super regenerative HF circuit followed by a pass band filter and limiter with a selective RC filter. Full wave detectors for each switching state have timing circuits to eliminate parasitic signals. The detectors drive a double flip flop whose outputs (Q, Q) control silicon bilateral switches (SBS) causing triacs in the load circuits to conduct.</p> |
