<p>The clamp is for securing adjacent wall panels together, partic. those used in concrete formwork. The panels have flanges at right angles to their surfaces, butting together and with holes in line accommodating the clamp. They are held in line with each other by a profiled alignment section running at right angles to the flanges. The clamp (7) has a pin (18) fitting in two holes (5, 6) in line with each other in the flanges (3, 4), and also, at a distance from the pin a transverse notch (17) whose width is the sum of those of the flanges. This allows the clamp to swing on the pin until the notched portion fits over the flanges. The clamp also has a seating (12) for the alignment section, with a screw (10), at right angles to the pin and at the opposite side of it from the notch. This clamps the alignment against the free edges (25, 26) of the flanges and in position on the seating.</p> |
