A mould unit for making thermoplastics foam mouldings has walls of high thermal conductivity contg. heating/cooling chambers. All chambers are traversed both by the heating and the cooling medium; the same fluid is used for both these media operating in closed circuit. Pref., a multiple system is used, in partic. a twin liq. circulation system comprising a single feed line to the heating and cooling chambers and a separator for hot and cold returned liq., supplied by common return line. |
