<p>The tool (1) cuts pictures, photos, etc. into a round or oval shape. They can then be mounted in round frames, or used as bottle labels, etc. The tool (1) consists of a cylindrical hood (1) with a central boss (7). The lower edge (2) of the hood is provided with a lip (3) of material having a high co-efficient of friction. A spindle (8) passes through the box (7) and its lower end carries a cylinder (5). This cylinder (5) carries two diametrically opposite blades (6) with cutting edges (13) and secured by screws (17). The upper end of the spindle (8) is provided with a knob (10). The tool is placed over the photograph and the knob (10) is pressed downwards and rotated so that a circular disc with smooth edges is cut out.</p> |
