1498381 Printing inks ALKOR GmbH KUNSTSTOFFVERKAUF 6 Jan 1976 [8 Jan 1975] 00336/76 Heading C3P Inks suitable for printing synthetic plastics webs comprise as binder a mixture of a polyacrylic acid ester and a polymethacrylic acid ester in a weight ratio of 100 : 3 to 100 : 25. The ink may comprise (a) 70 to 95 parts by weight of a varnish comprising 10 to 30 weight per cent of polyacrylic ester dispersion, 1.5 to 4À5 weight per cent of polymethacrylic ester dispersion and the balance azeotropic alcohol/ water mixture adjusted with ammonia or an amine to a pH above 8 and (b) 30 to 5 parts by weight of an ink preparation comprising 30 to 55 weight per cent polyacrylic ester dispersion, 40 to 65 weight per cent of azeotropic alcohol/ water mixture and 5 to 20 weight per cent of pigment, adjusted with ammonia or an amine to a pH above 8. Examples describe inks comprising the ethyl ester polymers in ethanol/ water media.
