The chamber of the dryer at higher temperature, that is to say (12), is heated indirectly by means of heat exchangers (7) which are traversed by the hot gas (F1) which is discharged successively to the outside. From the chamber (12), a flow of humid hot air (S) is taken, which affects methodically the heat exchangers (21) and (26), respectively outside and inside the chamber (11), the opening (31a), the space (29), to be conveyed back finally into the chamber (12). The flow (S) is cooled to the saturation of the steam which it contains in the exchanger (21) and loses, by condensation, some water in traversing the exchangers (26); said water is discharged to the outside by means of ducts (28). The heat, taken from the flow (F1), which is necessary to make a given quantity of water evaporate from the bricks situated in the chamber (12), is recovered and given up by the flow (S) to the chamber (11), neglecting the dispersions to the outside and the part lost in the exchanger (21). <IMAGE>
