First and second pumps are fluidly connectable and disconnectable respectively to and from the fluid circuit based on the axial position of the spool via the inlet and outlet ports.

A line pressure valve comprising: a valve housing having a central cavity and a plurality of inlet and outlet ports; and a spool positioned within the central cavity and axially displaceable therein, the spool having a plurality of radial cutouts that fluidly connect respective inlet and outlet ports based on an axial position of the spool with respect to the valve housing; wherein: first and second pumps are fluidly connectable and disconnectable respectively to and from the fluid circuit based on the axial position of the spool via the inlet and outlet ports;the first pump is configured to be fluidly disconnected from the fluid circuit when the spool is arranged in a first, a second, and a first intermediate position between the first and second positions, and the first pump is configured to be fluidly connected to the fluid circuit when the spool is arranged in a third position and a second intermediate position between the second and third positions; andthe second pump is configured to be fluidly disconnected from the fluid circuit when the spool is arranged in the first position, and the second pump is configured to be fluidly connected to the fluid circuit when the spool is arranged in the second position, the third position, the first intermediate position, and the second intermediate position.
