The heating and ventilating system for the bus interior is in two parts, the driver's cab and the passengers' compartment being supplied from separate air intakes and also controlled separately. A common air outlet is provided for both. The driver's cab has its own ventilator and heater unit and the temperature is controlled manually. The passenger's compartment has a several units mainly floor mounted, these being controlled by means of thermostatic valves and a central switch (24). The ventilating or cooling system is similarly controlled, the compressor and the fans being regulated thermostatically, a separate control for the driver being provided.
