<p>The stamping and/or riveting hammer has a valve operating mechanism which makes it impossible to carry out blank blows. The hammer consists of a cylindrical body with a valve assembly and hose connection on one end and an orifice on the other end. Inside the cylindrical body the percussion hammer operates in reciprocating movements against the force of the spring. The hammer provided has a bore through which the valve actuating pin is fitted. One end of the pin terminates next to the ball valve, the other is loosely seated in blind bore of a percussion mandrel. By pressing eh cylinder with mandrel against the piece to be hammered pin is pushed against the valve which opens and admits compressed air onto the percussion hammer.</p> |
