<p>A convertible bed and settee system has two settees at right angles to each other so that they can form a corner seat along two adjacent walls, with a square cupboard occupying the corner position between their two adjacent ends. One corner of each settee is attached to the outer corner of the cupboard, the point of attachment being a pivot or hinge, so that the settees can be swung round to an angle of 45 deg. to the walls, so as to form a double bed and allow access to the cupboard. Cushions can be housed in the corner cupboard, and further members arranged along the wall when the units are swung out for use as a bed, ready to form the backs of the settees on reconversion.</p> |
