<p>1508270 Drying manure or mud W VAN DEN BROEKS MACHINEFABRIEK BV 5 Nov 1976 [11 Nov 1975] 46169/76 Heading F4G In a method of drying manure or mud which comprises passing the mud through a dewatering device, e.g. a screw conveyer, then through a thermal drier, e.g. a rotary drum through which hot gases from a burner are passed, and recycling a portion of the dried material to a location where it is mixed with material which has been dewatered, a crusher is included in the recycle line, to reduce the size of the recycled granules. The drum may contain baffles to force the hot gases into a zig-zag path, see Fig. 2 (not shown). It is stated that the degree of crushing and/or the proportion of mud recycled may be adjusted.</p> |
