Self-adhesive packaging material in the form of sheets or webs is provided on one or both sides with at least a pair of spaced, parallel adhesive strips.Pref. the material is laminated and may include two outer aluminium foils between which is disposed a foamed plastics layer or a cardboard layer. Pref. the layers are vacuum deposited on a polyester foil and the adhesive is of the pressure-sensitive type which is covered by a silicone release paper.Packaging material which is provided with a thermally insulating layer is suitable for wrapping and storing of frozen or chilled foods, e.g. taken for picnics.
