<p>1509649 Oxidation of vat and sulphur dyes OLIN CORP 1 Nov 1976 [19 Nov 1975] 45323/76 Heading D1B Vat and sulphur dyes are oxidised on cotton or regenerated cellulose textile fibres by contacting with an oxidising composition which comprises an aqueous solution containing (a) 0.01 to 10% by weight of an oxidant selected from water - soluble iodate and bromate salts (b) 0.005% to 5% of a watersoluble vanadate salt and (c) 0.05 to 10% of a waiter - soluble nitrate salt, the nitrate salt acting as a corrosion inhibitor. The salts may be any water - soluble inorganic or organic salts e.g. alkaline earth meital salts, ailkali metal and ammonium salts, also diethanolamine salts, preferred salts are sodium, potassium and ammonium salts.</p> |
