The strengthening of the separators 1, 2 by the network enables the separators to be gripped between mandrels 5, 6 around which the electrodes 3, 4 are wound. For a lead - acid cell the fibres are made of glass or polypropylene whilst for an alkaline cell, polyamide or polyvinyl chloride fibres are used. |
