1482852 Castors SUGATSUNE INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 27 Feb 1975 [7 Aug 1974 31 Oct 1974] 8309/75 Heading A4U A castor comprises a connecting member 1 having a lower cylindrical portion, a wheel 4 having a pair of shafts 7 projected from respective opposite sides thereof, and a main body 3 having a tubular portion 2 rotatably receiving said cylindrical portion and an arc-shaped wheel-accommodating- and-bearing portion 6 having a pair of arc-shaped side walls (6') spaced apart to receive the wheel therebetween and forming bearing recesses 8 for receiving the shafts 7, the walls (6') extending downwardly to form resilient portions 10 for preventing slip-off of the wheel 4. Main body 3 may comprise elastic plastics material. As shown, shafts 7 are integrally formed with the wheel and are rotabably received in the recesses 8. In a modification Figs. 4 and 5, (not shown), the wheel comprises an axle assembly (111) having a pair of opposed shafts (107) received in the bearing recesses (108) and a roller (104') rotatably mounted on the axle assembly (111) by a ball bearing (119). |
