The cutting blades 82 of an agricultural drum mower are pivotally mounted onto a flange 80 on the drum of a mower. A spring pressed plunger 210 is provided on the flange and this plunger passes through a hole in the blade. An access hole 222 is provided in the flange so that the plunger may be depressed below the hole and the blade withdrawn. The arrangement is such that when the drum rotates the blade is pressed by centrifugal force into contact with stops. The blade itself has four cutting edges, viz:- two aligned cutting edges on opposite sides of the blade each aligned pair of edges being separated by a land adapted to engage a stop on the flange so that the pivotal movement of the blade can be arrested. <IMAGE> |
