摘要 1361513 Refrigerators ELECTROLUX Ltd 21 June 1972 [6 July 1971] 29076/72 Heading F4H In an absorption refrigerating apparatus of the kind which operates with an inert gas, refrigerant condensate from a condenser being supplied to an evaporator together with weak inert gas, the evaporator 33, Fig. 3, in the normal position is substantially horizontal and is connected at points 42, 43 at or near each end to supply conduits 38, 39, the conduits being so disposed that when the apparatus is tilted from the normal position, refrigerant condensate is supplied to the evaporator at the higher end. Each supply conduit has a high part 44, 45 which rises when the apparatus is tilted to lower the corresponding connection 42, 43. Both supply conduits are fed from a single pipe 30 so that when the apparatus is tilted as shown in Fig. 3, the evaporator sloping down to the right, the high part 44 will be lower than high part 45 so that the condensate will run only to connection 42 and flow down the evaporator towards the bend 46. When the tilt is in the other direction (Fig. 4, not shown) the high part 45 will be lower and the flow will be to connection 43, the condensate running down towards the left. A pipe 47 is provided for taking it to the high temperature evaporator 34. In another form, Fig. 6, the condensate supply pipe 63 is cooled by contact with the high temperature evaporator 64 and connected to the middle of the evaporator 66. According to the direction of tilt the condensate flows down one or the other half 69, 70 and passes via pipes 72, 77 to the higher end of the evaporator 64, leaving eventually via pipes 75 or 81. Loop at the ends of the evaporator halves 69, 70 provide reservoirs of condensate which continues to evaporate when the tilt is changing.
