PURPOSE:To provide electrode materials for use in discharge processing having 0.1-5% Zr content, whereby processing is stably carried out without damaging the processed surface roughness even at increased rates of processing. CONSTITUTION:Electrode materials for use in discharge processing use are formed by 0.1-5% by weight of Zr and the remaining percentages of Cu. By use of the materials, a desired processing surface can be obtained even at increased rates of processing about 30-50% greater than those for pure-copper electrodes, and the ratio of weight consumption of the electrode materials being reduced by some 20-30%. |
