PURPOSE:To compress and expand time axis with a simple circuit constitution by performing writing and reading of the digigal converted audio signal to and from a memory with the address signals of different frequencies within the same period. CONSTITUTION:Clocks of a clock pulse generator 7 are counted with a counter 8 and are applied to a timing controller 9, which in turn produces a strobe signal for writing and reading of the digital audio signal from an A/D converter 2 into and from a random access memory 4. The write-read changeover signal according to the count value of said counter 8 is applied to the converter 2 as well as to a data selector 11. Then, two sets of address data of differing periods formed by the mutually adjoining first, second bit outputs of specified bits by the count vaule of the counter 8 are selected and are applied to the memory 4, whereby writing and reading of the memory 4 are accomplished according to the write-read command signals of the periods corresponding to the clock pulses from a controller 9. Hence, the write and read speeds are controlled with the simple circuit constitution and the audio signal time axis is surely compressed and expanded. |
