PURPOSE:To remove the adverse effect of the resonance frequency by thickness bending spurious oscillation on the temperature characteristics, by selecting the thickness to the value far from the thickness bending spurious oscillation. CONSTITUTION:In the oscillator in which the oscillator main body 11 of rectangular plate and the suspension wire 12 are bonded with the conductive paste 13, excellent temperature characteristics of resonant frequency can be obtained by combining the longitudinal oscillation (LF) toward lengthwise and that (HF) toward short side as the resonance frequency, and in this case, most suitable ratio of sides is present. For example, in selecting the resonance frequency at about 780 KHz, the thickness bending oscillation to the side ratio 0.8 to 1.0, (n=6th to 7th harmonics) is as shown in Figure by taking the thickness t as 120, 130, and 140 mum. Around the side ratio 0.87 most suited to actual use, the resonance frequency of thickness bending oscillation is made apart from HF(frequency 0 position taking reference about 780 KHz) and LF(position of solid lines) for the thickness of 130mum, and excellent temperature characteristics can be obtained. |
