摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a wide band optical line in which the wavelength dependency of standardized frequency in the single mode optical line has been flattened over a wavelength region as wide as possible by adequately selecting the composition of the materials for the dielectric optical line. CONSTITUTION:SiO2 is used in order to obtain one of low loss as the material for dielectric optical line for optical transmission. And GeO2, B2O3, P2O5, Al2O3, GsO2, TiO2 are added to SiO2 in order to give refractive index differences. At this time, additives and addition concentrations are adequately selected, whereby the wavelength dependency of the standardized frequency defining the characteristics of the single mode optical line is considerably reduced. The use of the single mode optical line of such composition enables more carrier waves to be contained than the case of multiplexing light frequencies in the wavelength region satisfying these conditions. In addition, the operations of each of these wavelengths may be handled as they behave nearly the same standardized frequency even with any wavelength.
