PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacked barcode reading device and a stacked barcode reading method, capable of suppressing occurrence of a detectable error in advance and reducing processing load of error correction processing.SOLUTION: A decoding unit 133 comprises: an X sequence measuring unit 13311 which measures a stacked barcode bar and a space line width; a T sequence measuring unit 13312 which measures a T sequence as a numeric string from the measured stacked barcode bar and space line width; a code word acquiring unit 13313 which acquires a code word corresponding to the T sequence measured by the T sequence measuring unit 13312 or modified; and a T sequence modifying unit 13314 which compares a cluster value CT obtained from the T sequence by the T sequence measuring unit with a theoretical cluster value CR and, when a difference is generated, modifies the T sequence using a conversion table for the theoretical cluster value, T sequence, and code word.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
