PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform proper correction when printing is performed in an overlapping manner on the same region by repeating an operation for discharging ink from a plurality of nozzles while moving an ink jet head in a scanning direction.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer defines continuous three times of discharging processing performing printing in an overlapping manner on an overlapped region as first to third discharging processing in the execution order, calculates an ideal density Da being an ideal value of a concentration of the overlapped region at the time when ink landed in the second discharging processing is fixed from printing data (S112), executes the second discharging processing, detects an optical density Db of the overlapped region immediately after the landing of the ink in the second discharging processing at the time of movement of a carriage (S113), calculates an estimated density Dc being an estimated value of the optical density Db immediately after the ink fixation from the detected optical density Db (S114), corrects the printing data in accordance with the difference between the ideal density Da and the estimated density Dc (S115), and executes the third discharging processing on the basis of the printing data after the correction (S113).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
