PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a battery and a biofuel battery that can more greatly enhance the output thereof.SOLUTION: A battery electrode 1 comprises a skeleton 2 in which a plurality of carbon fibers 3 are overlapped to form a three-dimensional network structure, and a carbon nanotube structure 5 formed on the surface of the plurality of carbon fibers 3. Since the carbon nanotube structure 5 forms a network structure in which a plurality of carbon nanotubes 6 are directly connected to one another and is directly fixed to the surface of the carbon fibers 3, the skeleton 2 is not clogged by adhesive, and thus flow of electrolytic solution is not hindered. In addition, the specific surface area of the battery electrode can be increased and the carbon nanotube is directly fixed to the carbon fibers 3 through no insulator, so that increase in resistance of the battery electrode can be suppressed as compared with a prior art. Therefore, when the electrode is used for a battery, the output of the battery can be more greatly enhanced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
