<p>PURPOSE:To prevent freezing of rotatable members of a locking device by installing a covering body of synthetic resin to connecting portions of a wire or rod and the locking device, the wire joining an inner handle to the locking device, thereby preventing entering of rainwater into the locking device. CONSTITUTION:A covering body 10 of synthetic resin can be opened by swinging the two halves thereof around the axis of upper hinged portions thereof to carry out covering, an embracing fitting 8 is positioned in a cylinder 15, an engaging portion 14 of the right half is inserted into an engaging opening of the left half, and thus the embracing fitting 8 is covered by the covering body 10. The inner diameter of an insertion opening 17 of the cylinder 15 is smaller than the outer diameter of a wire, an inner periphery of the insertion opening 17 comprises a bent portion 18 having a thinner wall to enclose an outer surface of a wire 7 to make their surface contact sure, and therefore water drops inclined to enter along the wire 7 are completely shut out.</p> |
