PURPOSE:To manufacture the title material having sufficient magnetic characteristics stable to a change in temp. and sufficient mechanical strength by soln.-heat- treating Ni maraging steel followed by heat treatment at a specified temp. CONSTITUTION:18% Ni maraging steel is soln.-heat-treated consiting of, by wt., N; 17-19%, Co; 7-14%, Mo; 3-7%, Ti; 0.1-2.5%, Al <=0.2%, accompanying impurities C <=0.03%, Si <=0.15%, Mn <=0.2% and P and S <=0.02%, and the balance Fe. The treated steel is then aged at 500-600 deg.C to manufacture a semihard magnet material having a residual magnetic flux density Br above 10 KG, a coercive force bHc above 40 Oe, a large area bounded by hysteresis curves, magnetic characteristics stable to room temp. -200 deg.C and a tensile strength above 100 kg/mm<2>. |
