PURPOSE: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium which is capable of low energy printing without scumming, has high transfer sensitivity, and is improved in the fastness of a transfer image after printing and of printing quality. CONSTITUTION: In a thermal transfer recording medium having a base material sheet, a wax peeling layer mounted on the base material sheet, and heat melting ink layer placed on the wax peeling layer, the thickness of the base material sheet is 0.5-3.0μm, while the thickness of the wax peeling layer is 0.1-3.0μm. |
