<p>The system vapourises liquids by means of an ultrasonic oscillator, onto whose surface the liquid is delivered. The oscillator (3) is intermittently excited, the liquid being delivered onto the oscillatory surface (4) during the intervals between excitation at least. The system can be used with liquid fuels for internal-combustion engines, excitation taking place during each intake stroke and fuel delivery between these strokes. The excitation phase can be shorter than the interval. Fuel can be intermittently sprayed onto the oscillatory surface from a solenoid-operated injector nozzle in the opposite side of a mixing pipe.</p> |
