PURPOSE:To enable high-speed printing without creating sticking phenomenon by providing a heat-resistant protective film on the lower face of a base film. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive transfer material 11 coomprises a heat-meltable ink layer 3, base film 4, and heat-resistant protective film 8. The ptotective film 8 is a film consisting of silicone resin, epoxy resin, melamin resin, phenol resin, fluororesin, polyamide resin, ritrocellulose, or the like, and is formed by coating a varnish mainly consisting of such component on the base film 4 and then heating the varnish or by laminating such film on the base film 4. |
