PURPOSE:To provide an emulsifier composition useful especially as a raw material of cosmetics, having high safety and emulsifiability, giving pleasant feeling and vitamin C to the skin, and composed of an ascorbic acid ester, a hydrophilic sugar ester and a polyhydric alcohol. CONSTITUTION:An emulsifier composition composed of (A) 1-20 wt% of an ester of ascorbic acid with a >=8C fatty acid, (B) 9-50 wt% of a hydrophilic sugar ester having an HLB of >=11 and derived from a >=12C fatty acid, and (C) 30-90 wt% of a polyhydric alcohol. Ascorbic acid, when is easily decomposed and difficult to use as a component of cosmetics, is stabilized by making oil-soluble. High safety, and widely used in the field of foods, pharmaceuticals, etc. |
