<p>The elastic piston or piston rod seal ring has a rectangular cross-section. It is mounted in an inclined piston ring groove such that the outside seal ring edge forms the largest seal dia. When located in the cylinder the stressing of the seal ring forces it against the cylinder wall. A plastics piston ring, placed in the same piston groove as the seal ring, provides a dry lubricant between the piston and cylinder. Pref. the plastics piston rings is in two parts of different dry lubrication. Characteristics and different deformability. The seal ring is typically of crosslinking polyurethane.</p> |
