PURPOSE:To seal and fix the top end of cylindrical body to the top end of a pole, open its bottom end free in electrolyte and provide block ring around the pole so as to prevent electrolyte from splashing and oozing upward so that the pole may be protected against corrosion. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical body 4 made of air-proof material is fitted by screwing joint around the upper portion of pole 1 just above pole brim 2 via 0 ring 3 and seal member 6 such as compound etc is sealed on the upper rim of screwing joint 5. The lower portion of the pole is surrounded with cylindrical body 4 left free in electrolyte 7, and ring 8 made of polyisobutylene and the like is installed along the circumference of the pole a little above the bottom of cylindrical body 4 for the purpose of preventing upward ooze of electrolyte. Through the above configuration, splash and upward ooze of electrolyte, are prevented, resulting in prevention of local corrosion on the lower area of battery jar lid and corrosion at terminal connections. |
