<p>Protective sleeve joined to a shorter, stiff, upper-arm sleeve by means of a flexible tongue portion. The forearm sleeve is enveloped in an exchangeable sheathing of soft material. The sheathing is plated fabric composed of parallel and intersecting strips of which some are made of rubber-elastomic material whilst the other consist of strong but largely non-elastic yet flexible material. The strips are 2-10 cm wide. The rubber-elastic strips comprise natural or synthetic rubber e.g. neoprene. The othes are suitably strong synthetic and/or natural fibrous webbing. The plaits have linen weave.</p> |
