<p>The hydraulic shock absorber is of the double cylinder telescopic type, curves being introduced into various re-entrant angles to reduce cavitation noises. The two coaxial cylinders extend from a common head block, a metal cup (14) fitting the anular interval (20) to close the base of the outer cylinder, and the base of the inner cylinder being closed by a valve block (16). The inner cylinder is traversed by a piston (26) of which the rod passes through a head, and both the piston and the valve block are traversed by vertical passages (34, 38, 46, 56) controlled by diaphragm valving (36, 40, 48, 54). The invert of the base cup includes a raised coaxial hub (64) forming a circular groove (60) of segmental cross-section.</p> |
