Intruder alarm system for domestic and industrial purposes - employs distribution units to self check cabling between central and neutralisation units

An alarm system for all types of premises allows the use of all types of intrusion sensors. The use of cables avoids RF interference and allows the point of intrusion to be located precisely from amongst a number of premises. A central alarm installation (1) processes received information and contains modules (2), allowing rearrangement of the modules in the event of a fault. A distribution unit (5) ensures that the cabling between the central unit and the neutralisation unit (8) are readily checked. Other distribution units (14, 15) allow other premises to be connected into the system. A display panel (7), with lamps or liquid crystal indicators, allows the alarm position to be indicated. A siren (3) with test recorder (4) provides the alarm signal.
