PURPOSE:To provide a title sliding material with improved sliding properties such as limit PV value etc., by a method wherein potassium molybdenate is filled by dipping, coating, impregnation, etc., into fine pores of carbon-graphite products produced in conventional method in which required material is blended and sintered. CONSTITUTION:Fine powder of coke, carbon black, and graphite is blended with binding material such as pitch, resin, etc., and is molded, sintered and/or graphitized to provide carbon-graphite products. Then, the products are subjected to dipping, coating, impregnation, etc. by aqueous potassium molybdenate solution so that fine pores of the products are filled with potassium molybdenate to thereby provide the object sliding material. |
