PURPOSE:To obtain reliable safety system for combustion to minimize malfunction by a method wherein a thermocouple is connected in series with the driving circuit of a fuel supply valve. CONSTITUTION:When incomplete combustion is occurred, the oxygen partial pressure of the waste gas in contact with the inner partition wall 9 is varied to change the electromotive force produced across the porous electrodes 10, 11. The electromotive force of the sensor 8 enters into a controller 14 by passing through the lead wires 12, 13. The controller 14 develops the voltage across the primary coil 15 of a transformer 5 when the electromotive force generated in sensor 8 exceeds the set value. The voltage developed across the primary coil 15 of the transformer 5 acts to cancel the electromotive force of the thermocouple 7, causing to release the solenoid valve 3 from excitation to stop fuel supply to the burner 1 by closing the solenoid valve 3. |
